Winfield Mural Movement

Help Us Add More Art to Winfield!

What started as a project to celebrate Winfield’s 150th year as an incorporated city, has now turned into a movement to add more murals and restore our existing ones! In 2023, the Winfield Arts & Humanities Council, through a grant from KCAIC, commissioned a community mural titled “Building Blocks of Winfield” at 1201 Main St (Home Lumber & Supply) by Andrea & Alex Polzin where community members had the chance to participate in a “paint by numbers” process.

The chamber was awarded a grant through the Kansas Office of Rural Prosperity and combined that with donations for the Winfield 150 to commission four more murals: a Bison mural at 210 E. 9th Avenue by Lindsey Kernodle, “Coming Home to Winfield” mural at 1105 Main St. by Lindsey Kernodle, “Meadowlark Thunderstorm” mural at Cochran Park by Brady Scott, and a mural panel by Aaron Skapik.

We have artists, building owners, and businesses ready to bring more beautiful art to our downtown – all we need is financial support to keep the movement going! Use the button below to make a donation today!
