Winfield Annual Downtown Scarecrow Light Pole Decorating Contest

Open to businesses, organizations, clubs, or individuals
• Businesses located downtown have until September 4 to sign up for the pole outside their business. Businesses, organizations and individuals not located downtown can request certain poles, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
• Scarecrows must be installed between September 26 and October 1
• Scarecrows must be taken down between November 1 and November 4.
• Only registered poles will be judged and eligible for prizes.
• You may not use glue, packing tape, or permanent fasteners on light poles. Care should be take to not damage poles. You are strongly encouraged to use zip ties, string, or painters tape to secure your scarecrow.
• Entries will be accepted until 5 pm on Wednesday, September 23.
• There is no entry fee.
• The chamber is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage. Please do not use valuable items in your display.
• You may not decorate a pole higher than 9 feet.

This is intended to be a fun, family-friendly community activity. As such, the following are not allowed:
Overly gory displays
Discriminatory displays
Political figures or references
Vulgar/suggestive content

Scarecrows will be judged and prizes awarded.
1st place – $100 in chamber checks
2nd place – $75 in chamber checks
3rd place – $50 in chamber checks
